It was an evening of "Gourmet Delight" and good company. The Seven Sumos looking remarkable slim produced an outstandingly good meal at Rushden Village Hall on Saturday 14th October. The evening started with champagne and canapés and then progressed via pea and prosciutto soup, pigeon breasts in quince sauce, carbonade of beef, raspberry cheesecake and cheese savouries to melt in the mouth home made truffles. All washed down with copious drafts of wine. We must congratulate all those who took part in producing the meal, Victoria and Georgie for helping serve it and thanks also go to Victoria for her sterling work in the kitchen washing up. The grand total of £1,000.00 was raised for the Church and the Village Hall.
