Easyjet
passengers over Rushden were probably wondering what was going on in the
West's glorious garden on the evening of Saturday 28th June. It was of
course Rushden's Summer Concert with the Jubilee Singers and friends. The
weather was wonderful as the audience was entertained by songs from the
shows, a new look at Noah's Ark ( fortunately without the special effects
which had been present at the dress rehearsal) and a poem about what is
happening in the village at this time of year. A delicious supper was also
served. Everyone spoken to said how much they had enjoyed it. We are now
waiting to hear how much was raised for the disabled toilet facilities at
the Village Hall and the French drains beside the Church.
