Rushden and Wallington Parish Council

MINUTES' HIGHLIGHTS 17th September 2001

Rushden and Wallington Parish Council Highlights of meeting held on Monday 17th Sept 2001

1.Holly Lane
We are still waiting for the District Council to decide upon the most appropriate remedial work for Holly Lane.

2.Salt Bin
The Salt bin has been replaced at the end of Treacle Lane.

3. Speed limit
30 mph signs have been put up in Mill End and Rushden village centre. Consideration will be given to Southern Green later.

4. Southern Green Grain Store
Planning has been granted for the new grain store at Southern Green.

5. Treacle Lane.
Application has been made by David Hodge for conversion of Rainbow Barn to a four bedroomed dwelling house. The District Council says this is mainly acceptable. The Parish Council felt an independent opinion should be obtained on whether it was in effect a new building or a conversion and that an adequate turning circle should be reserved.

6. Field Cottage.
The Fairlies have applied for conversion of their garage to a residential annexe.

7. Hill Side.
A third application has been received from the Dans for a replacement property, the demolition of the exisiting property and construction of a split level house. It was felt that a change of material and reduction in the size of dwelling need to be considered.
