The hotel rooms were magnificent and several of us had four poster beds. It was quite a climb to get into them though. The first photo shows one of the dining rooms. This one is used for the Verderers' Meetings. At the end the chairs of the committee and the raised platform can be seen.

The following day was a visit to Westbury Gardens, this is a National Trust site. The house has been knocked down about thirty years ago and replace by a rather ugly old people's residential home.
